My mission is your mission.
I love working with data to answer questions, assess progress, and make strategic decisions.

My diverse experience is my greatest strength. I've studied anthropology, philosophy, law, and acupuncture. I've worked at a swimming pool store, in (many) restaurants, as a manager of multiple retail establishments, as a volunteer firefighter, in public policy at a multinational organization, as a product, sales, and marketing manager in a tech startup, and, currently, as an administrator, coach, and student success advocate at the American University of Paris.

The report is built upon a total of 20 fact and dimension tables covering a 4-year span of information. The main sales information fact table contains 1.5 million rows of sales transaction information.

-- This project was completed using microsoftexcel, powerquery, and powerpivot .
-- Powerquery was used to generate needed metrics.
-- Datamodeling was used to map and connect data across mutliple tables.
-- Powerpivot was used to slie and dice data to uncover needed insight.
-- Data visualization was created within Excel and edited in PowerPoint.

A series of preminary data-driven marketing recommendations are provided.

Project Details

For this project I worked with a data set from AtliQ Grands, a five-star hotel group operating for more than 20 years across India. Recently, AtliQ Grands has been losing market share and revenue, so their revenue team has decided to hire a data analyst to explore some of their historical data to see what insights they can discover and act upon moving forward. The data set covers a three-month period and includes information on 13,500 bookings. To tackle this task, I created a Power BI report with six dashboards: one summary dashboard with key information covering the entire breadth of the data, and five supporting dashboards each with a specific focus, including specific properties, acquisition channels, room categories, time periods, and cities. Underpinning these reports are two fact and four dimension tables and a few dozen calculated columns and DAX measures. Check out my explainer video and the link to the live dashboard to see my work.
